We have been getting some calls from clients whose dogs have gotten sprayed by a skunk. Although we are more than willing to help by giving an emergency skunk bath, sometimes that just isn't possible. With that being said, here is our skunk off recipe:
Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups warm water. Pour over only the area of the dog that was sprayed. Rinse and repeat 3 times.
Next, mix 1/4 cup peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1/4 cup Dawn dishsoap with 1 quart of warm water. Scrub the affected area only with mixture. Rinse and repeat as needed to dispense odor.
Then sooner you bathe the dog after spraying, the better the outcome will be!!
